Unpatterned is currently seeking the following positions:

TEMPORARY INTERN

Unpatterned, a growing residential interior design firm in Ravenswood, Chicago, is seeking a part-time TEMPORARY Design Intern to support our full-time designers immediately. This position will be partially remote/partially in-person so you must be local and have access to transportation. This position will have the potential to turn into a summer internship.

Our work is residential in nature, including renovations, new construction, and decorating. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, willing to learn, and adaptable. This is for someone in an interior design/interior architecture or similar program. Tasks will vary, but can include the following:

• Design Library management and vendor research 

• AutoCAD Drawings 

• Assist in creation of design boards and renderings 

• Sample and material sourcing from showrooms and online 

• Creation of IVY Proposals and FF&E Schedules 

• Attend meetings; provide meeting notes and follow-up 

• Assist on photoshoots and installations 

• Take photos/videos to create social media content 

• General errands as needed

• Start Date: ASAP / Duration: ~90 Days 

Requirements: 

• 10 hours per week

• Hybrid position

• AutoCAD Knowledge 

• Sketchup knowledge a plus 

• Adobe, Google, Microsoft Suite knowledge 

• Mailchimp, Squarespace, Canva, or HouzzPro knowledge a plus

• A sincere appreciation of color, pattern, and texture is strongly encouraged! 

• Pursuing a design degree or program required. This is a paid internship, but open to those that need school credit.
