About the Project

We were honored to participate in the 2025 Lake Forest Showhouse benefitting the Infant Welfare Society. When we toured the showhouse grounds back in November, we instantly knew we wanted the second floor sitting room. As avid readers, we had an immediate vision for a library lounge nestled in the back of the home. Drawing inspiration from botanical prints and earth tones, we have transformed the space into a secret garden inspired retreat. Built-in cabinetry with whimsical details are filled with loved books and vintage treasures, while floral prints throughout bring the space to life. We are so grateful to all of our vendors and collaborators for working with us to make this space possible!

Fun Fact: See that cute panther in the hallway? That’s Unpatterned’s office mascot Jerry. We knew he needed to make an appearance in our space, and we gave him a little colorful glow up so he fit right in!
