About the Project

First, we helped this family make their traditional first floor their own by adding a custom-painted entry design, wallpaper, and fresh paint. We even procured furniture, including the custom-designed record cabinet and commissioned painting, and completed the look with hands-on styling. Less than a year later we were back for a second floor overhaul, including a new floor plan, an expanded primary bath, his/hers closets, a fresh look for the hall bath, some bedroom, nursery, and office decor, and new floors throughout. We returned for Phases 3 and 4 to give the kitchen a full refresh and a new dining set. Lastly, we renovated the basement bathroom, and powder room, and found a way to rearrange a few doors to add a custom built-in bar.

Color palette

Everything was painted white on this wall, but we darkened things up to make the original stained glass pop.

Books and objects are a fun way to fill a non-functional fireplace.

Upholstered ottomans are great for families with tiny kids!

Kind Words from the client

“The way you design allows you to be bold and unique while still fitting within an overall style with the house. And it’s not too much, but it is just my style.

You do a really good job of understanding our style without a lot of guidance. You take that and find solutions, both for the space and the style so our house is unique but fits us. You come up with unique solutions too: when we had to re-envision the layout of the house to make more space, you came up with ideas we didn’t imagine in a city house.”
